Chinese New Year is around the corner…. hmm… ONLY 3 more weeks to go.

Hup & I started the Spring Cleaning yesterday, re-paint the main door and do some cleaning in the living room.

We planned to re-paint the main door even before we bought this house… but… haha… we dragged for 3 years, and yesterday, FINALLY we did it !!…..

Here are the color before and after re-paint, from light blue to grey

After the tree top walk, I cooked a simple dinner - Pork porridge, with side dishes - fried dried fish (Ikan Bilis), fried onion egg, pickled vegetable and canned peanuts.

A very simple dinner, but we do enjoy it so much. This meal only costs us S$3

Went for 2hrs walk at Sgp Nature Reserve Park (Macritchie) yesterday. This is the first time I visited the nature park after > 7 years staying here

So surprised that Sgp still have this kind of nature park. When walking in the park, we felt like we were back to Malaysia. There are high climb trees, very small river, tree top walk, monkey, muddy road…..

Is the view looks like I am at Malaysia?

Can you recognize this leaves? It grows in the jungle but can be cooked as delicious dishes. Still remember when I was young, I always go to the jungle to collect the leave for my 2nd sis, she is so good in cooking.

It is not a surprise seeing Monkey, but it is a big surprise for me to see Wild Monkey in Sgp. Haha… !!…

Two kids catching fishes at very small river. I recalled of my young time catching fishes at the river just behind my old house. I was having a sweet and fun time when I was young, catched fishes, ran and played in the jungle, watched sunset on small hill….. 

Recently I am so crazy on playing Wii, and always go to my friend’s house for Wii…..

Jan 3rd early morning, around 1am. I turned on the TV for TV programmes. Suddenly “Bunnies” appeared on the TV with cute cute song. Surprised, wonder why there was advertisement of Wii games on TV.

Hurray !!! I got Wii !!! My hubby bought it and gave me a very BIG surprise !!!….. So happy !!!!…..

This is my first time making “Char Siew”.

Very simple, just marinate pork with Char Siew source and garlic for 2hrs. Heat up the oven to 180C, bake the marinated pork for 15 mins -> turn it over -> another 10 mins -> spread honey on it -> another 2 mins.

And, it is ready !!

My 2008 wishes? Hmm.. happy life, good career, and probably a “cow” baby? haha….:) Oh yeah, one more, HONEYMOON !! I would like to have ~3 weeks backpack trip at either China, Taiwan or NewZealand, before I start the family planning

I spent the New Year eve with my hubby at AngMoKio, there is small celebration there. We missed the fireworks, coz we were few seconds late …. Haha, we rushed to AngMoKio, spent few minutes there, then rushed back again because we don’t want to misss the train. We went for supper later till 2am. That’s how we spent the New Year eve, simple but quite fun.
